Get aid from advisers with talents in finance, defense, or leadership. Add, remove and upgrade your cards to create a deck worthy of a true leader!ĭefending your rats in the city will be a challenge. Building an efficient deck is key for protecting your rats from waves of rat-thirsty enemies. All leaders begin their journey with a deck of 8 basic cards. Build the largest 'Ratropolis!' and etch your name into rat history!Ĭhoose from over 500 cards of economy, building, military, and skill types to execute your strategic command. Lead your small rat outpost to safety and defend your rat citizens from predators and monstrous creatures. Rally again if any of them are about to die.Ratropolis combines roguelite, deck building, and tower defense with real time strategy gameplay. With the above setup you play Raise Tax / Experiments when they're in your hand, Rally units back to your hand, spam Arm -> Assistance / Steal repeatedly until wave, summon units. Once units are out they're no longer necessary. The ideal deck after getting your 6-7 units placed on each side is something like this:ġx Raise Tax or Experiments (Permanent economy with a small deck, can remove if economy is no longer an issue)Ģx Steal or Assistance (2x steal is preferable if you can't upgrade) It's possible to win only using militia this way. If you get arm with the rally strat it is incredibly easy to have melee units that have HP in the thousands with hundreds of attack. With a small enough deck you can infinitely loop rally on 6-7 melee units of your choice (more is actually worse) and occasionally buff them additionally with your leader ability. If you're really lucky you'll find an arm as well for really fast scaling. Completing the Labor effect of the Egg(Lv2) Card will give you one D-rex card. Originally posted by HumbleImp:There is an achievement for winning without any ranged units, anyone have it yet? what did you do to get it?īest way to win with only melee units is running General as a leader and finding rally (and upgrading it asap). Upgrading it or playing it and waiting for its Labor effect to complete will give you the Egg(Lv2) Card. then drills him to death with his bigass drill arm thing. Losing all/half gold wasn't a problem due to just drawing a new hand gave enough gold to play overturn, to kickstart the engine again. It turns out Ratropolis is a game about building an economic engine at least as much as it is. Discarding 4 other cards to gain gold & draw 10 which also draws another overturn, which I can repeat indefinitely. Lead your small rat outpost to safety and defend your rat c. I also used an overturn/barn draw/economy engine in the late game. Ratropolis combines roguelite, deck building, and tower defense with real time strategy gameplay. Still killed the boss, but a few of the spawn units got to the center. I managed to get to the 30th wave, and only not making it due to thinking that the final wave has bosses on both sides//lag from playing on a laptop. By the time the front wall falls and the enemy units start advancing, your backline should kill most if not all of them. Use the spell card that give +3//+5 attack to your units on your range units. Having your longbow / slinger rats (long range) one wall back, and feed shield rats to the front walls to buy time (the free block attack helps a ton here), use aoe spells like the bomb/airstrike to soften up the the waves.
